Low-cost No-Needle No-Scalpel Vasectomy in Orlando/Kissimmee Florida

At BVL Family Medical Center in Kissimmee, no-needle no-scalpel vasectomy services are provided every 2-3 months on special "Vasectomy Days" by Doug Stein, M.D., a Board-Certified urologist who has performed over 17,000 vasectomies and who uses no-needle local anesthesia and a no-scalpel technique. A deposit of $100 is required to be scheduled (see below). The counseling process can be done online by (1) reviewing Dr. Stein's vasectomy page, (2) viewing the online counseling video, and (3) reading the vasectomy info sheet (this is a PDF file viewable with Acrobat Reader®, available here as a free download if you don't already have a copy of Acrobat Reader® on your computer), which you will be asked to sign before your procedure. So only one visit is required, but you will have Dr. Stein's office, home, and cell phone numbers so that you can always reach him if you have questions after your procedure. You will also be given a mailer, so that you can send a semen sample to Dr. Stein's Tampa office 8 weeks after your vasectomy to be sure that your semen is sperm-free. BVL Family Medical Center is located at 2551 Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, FL 33743 in the BVL Shopping Center, just south of Buenaventura Boulevard.

From points north and east, the simplest way to get to the BVL Family Medical Center is to take Route 417 (Central Florida Greenway) to Exit 17 (Boggy Creek Road) or to Exit 14 (Landstar Boulevard, which becomes Buenaventura Boulevard when it crosses the Osceola Parkway). Take Landstar Boulevard (Buenaventura Boulevard) south 4.0 miles to Boggy Creek Road. Go right and BVL will be on your right. From the northwest, take the Florida Turnpike to Exit 249 (Osceola Parkway) and go east on Osceola Parkway to Buenaventura Boulevard, then south to Boggy Creek Road.
To schedule, please call Dr. Stein's office at 813-903-1902 or toll-free 866-827-8463. Again, a deposit of $100 is required to be scheduled. The deposit is fully refundable until 14 calendar days prior to the appointed vasectomy date, non-refundable thereafter for either cancellation or postponement. The deposit can be paid by providing a VISA/MasterCard number to Dr. Stein's Tampa office (813-972-1365 or 866-827-8463) or by mailing a check or money order payable to Douglas G. Stein, MD to his Tampa office (Douglas G. Stein, MD, PA; 3000 E Fletcher Avenue; Suite 330; Tampa, FL 33613). The balance of the fee ($290) is due on the day of the vasectomy, payable by cash or check to Dr. Stein. While we cannot accept credit cards at BVL, you may pay the balance with Visa/MasterCard by calling Dr. Stein's Tampa office (813-972-1365) 2 days prior to the procedure. If your vasectomy is covered by an insurance company with which Dr. Stein is a contracted provider, your deposit will be returned to you when we are paid by your insurance company. Itemized and properly coded receipts are provided, and these may be submitted to insurance companies with which Dr. Stein is not a contracted provider in an attempt to get reimbursement or credit toward your deductible. Financial Aid Medicaid patients are accepted, as are Medicaid HMO patients with proper referral, but 2 visits are required to allow for the mandatory 30-day interval (required by Medicaid) between signing your consent and having your vasectomy. If you have no health insurance (Medicaid or private) and your income is low, you may qualify for financial aid under a federal program called Title 10 (click for details) administered by many of Florida's county health departments. The Osceola County Health Department does not offer vasectomy assistance under Title 10, but the Orange County Health Department has an excellent financial assistance program administered by Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando.
