Vasectomy in Jacksonville, Florida:
Serving Northeast Florida (St. Augustine) and South Georgia (Brunswick, Waycross)

At Planned Parenthood of Northeast Florida, Friday morning vasectomies are performed every 8 to 10 weeks by Dr. Doug Stein, or by his associate Dr. Matt Nessetti. They use no-needle local anesthesia and a no-scalpel technique. For exact dates, see their Outfield Schedule. The fee is $490. A deposit of $100 is required to be scheduled (see below).

From April 2009 through December 2011, vasectomies were performed at the PP clinic in Jacksonville Beach. But starting in 2012, vasectomies are performed at the Central Clinic on Beach Boulevard as they were prior to 2009.

3850 Beach Boulevard
Jacksonville, Florida 32207

Plenty of parking to the right of the building.

Directions:
From the south, take I-95 north to Exit 347 (Emerson Street). You can follow Emerson Street all the way to Beach Boulevard, or just to where it splits into Alternate US-1 (left) and Emerson Street (right). Alternate US-1 is a more direct route to Beach Boulevard; just watch carefully for an exit ramp to Beach Boulevard on the right. Turn left and take Beach Boulevard northeast to Planned Parenthood, which will be on the left.
From the north, take I-95 south to Exit 349 (Atlantic Boulevard). Atlantic blends into Beach Boulevard which you can follow until you reach Planned Parenthood on the right.

The counseling process can be done online by (1) reviewing Dr. Stein's vasectomy page, (2) viewing the online counseling video, and (3) reading the vasectomy info sheet (this is a PDF file viewable with Acrobat Reader®, available here as a free download if you don't already have a copy of Acrobat Reader® on your computer), which you will be asked to sign prior to your procedure. So only one visit is required, but you will have Dr. Stein's or Dr. Nessetti's office, home, and cell phone numbers so that you can always reach him if you have questions after your procedure. You will also be given a mailer, so that you can send a semen sample to Dr. Stein's Tampa office 12 weeks after your vasectomy to be sure that your semen is sperm-free. We also strongly encourage you to pre-register on our On-line Vasectomy Registration page. On arrival for your vasectomy, you will still have to complete a few forms for Planned Parenthood, but your registration with Dr. Stein or Dr. Nessetti will be complete.

To schedule, please call the Vasectomy Centers of Florida main office at 813-903-1902 or toll-free 866-827-8463. Again, a deposit of $100 is required to be scheduled. The deposit is fully refundable until 7 calendar days prior to the appointed vasectomy date, non-refundable thereafter for either cancellation or postponement. The deposit can be paid by phone or during online pre-registration by providing a VISA/MasterCard number, or by mailing a check or money order payable to Douglas G. Stein, MD to his Tampa office (Douglas G. Stein, MD, PA; 3000 E Fletcher Avenue; Suite 330; Tampa, FL 33613). The balance of the fee ($390) is due on the day of the vasectomy, payable to Planned Parenthood by cash or Visa/MasterCard. Personal checks are not accepted.

If your vasectomy is covered by an insurance company with which Drs. Stein & Nessetti are a contracted providers, your deposit will be returned to you when we are paid by your insurance company. Itemized and properly coded receipts are provided, and these may be submitted to insurance companies with which Drs. Stein & Nessetti are not a contracted providers in an attempt to get reimbursement or credit toward your deductible.
